Built by people who spent a decade building the EV charging industry
EVready® Energy was founded by two operators who helped scale EV charging at SolarCity, Tesla Energy, and ChargePoint — and saw firsthand what happens when cost management is an afterthought.
One partner for the whole electrification journey
Most EV charging contractors sell hardware and walk away. The part that drives long-term operating costs — demand charges, rate exposure, peak load spikes — starts after they leave. EVready® Energy was built to stay for that part.
We provide EV charging strategy, certified installation, and ongoing energy management through our Energy Guardian platform. For commercial operators, fleets, dealerships, multifamily owners, and the public sector — the same team handles all three phases, from site assessment to a live dashboard showing what your chargers cost to run.
Our founders spent their careers building the infrastructure and sales teams that made EV charging mainstream at Tesla and ChargePoint. EVready is what they built when they decided to fix what those experiences showed them was broken.
Deep roots. No shortcuts.
Between them, Chris and Justin have spent more than two decades in EV charging and clean energy — first building the industry, then building a company to run it the right way. Meet the rest of the team below.
Chris Nihan
Chris brings over a decade of hands-on experience in clean energy and EV charging — from residential solar at SolarCity to enterprise charging infrastructure at Tesla Energy and ChargePoint. He is the principal voice of the EVready Energy Podcast, where he sits down with the executives and operators shaping commercial electrification.
At ChargePoint, Chris developed deep expertise in rate structures, utility incentive programs, and the economics of operating commercial charging networks — the same knowledge he now applies for every EVready client.

Justin Ries, LEED AP
Justin is a trained architect and LEED-accredited professional who transitioned from building design into electrification strategy — a background that gives him a rare systems-level view of how buildings, infrastructure, and energy intersect.
At Tesla, he built and led a commercial sales team of 120+ people. At ChargePoint, he became the number-one revenue producer in the Eastern US for three consecutive years, managing a pre-construction pipeline exceeding $500 million. He oversees operations, marketing, and vendor relations at EVready.
